Zoo owners Adam and RJ Welch-Hagemann were thinking about how to give back to regional communities, and since they are animal lovers, they decided to do a donation only petting zoo.

The reason for taking on this substantial project: was to give children and families a chance to experience the wonderful things animals can offer.

​

Once the decision was a "go" they set out on their quest in finding animals that needed forever homes and animals that needed a safe place to live.

​

Since their mission began, Adam and RJ have been contracted from individuals all over the United States who know of animals in dire need of rescue. Many of our four-legged Family members have came from tragic. inhumane situations.

​

But you would never know it because with the TLC and dedication from Adam and RJ and from all the volunteer staff, these amazing creatures have survived and have become the rock stars of W.H. Petting Zoo Inc. & Rescue.

How do we come up with our names? We believe that since most of our animals are rescued and lived bad lives, they needed Rock Star Names.

We rescue all types of farm animals that we can accommodate for.
